POSITION TITLE: Administrative Director (AD)

REPORTING:

The position reports to the President and Board of Trustees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will assist the Board with the oversight of The Kym Sellers Foundation (KSF) by way of operations, resource development, marketing, financial management, education, outreach, partnership and collaboration development.

COMPENSATION and TIME COMMITMENT:

As independent contractor and MS advocate you will be given a monthly stipend. The Administrator Director is expected to work a minimum of 20 – 25 hours a month. Workload and planning will vary with peaks months in March- November.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree or higher in business, health, communication, or public administration

  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills. Ability to communicate with the diverse

    populations and all the many stakeholders of KSF.

  • Ability to manage fundraising events and other special projects.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google drives, email and

    databases.

  • Strong fundraising abilities.

  • Experience with working autonomously and managing multiple impending projects and goals simultaneously.

  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to change.

  • A commitment to ethical principles of fundraising, as well as the organization’s

    philosophy and mission

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (Directly or through Board Chair or Committees):

  • Administrative needs of KSF such database, picking up mail, scheduling events and meetings, checking email and voicemails, sending out correspondence to Board members or on the behalf of Kym and the Board.

  • Oversight in financial matters, Board operations, and overall presence of KSF in the community.

  • Special Event Planning, fundraising, execution and project management.

  • Direct liaison with MS patients, family, friends, volunteers, and caregivers.

  • Develop, design, and manage marketing campaigns.

  • Compose, edit and publish internal and external newsletters.

  • Issue Press releases & solicit media coverage.

  • Compose, edit and publish the Annual Report.

  • Manage and implement direct mail and media initiatives.

  • Other needs for KSF and progression of the mission.
